In this week’s edition of Take 5, I give a legislative update and information about our upcoming fall conferences.
On June 1, 2015, Governor Dayton and Speaker Daudt came to a tentative agreement on education funding, the largest unresolved piece of the state budget.
Gov. Dayton and House Republican leaders agreed to spend $525 million more on schools over the next two years. There will be an increase on the general education per-pupil funding formula of 2% each of the next two years.
We don’t have all the full details yet, but we will keep you updated as they are announced.
