Here’s the scoop for the week

Newly Proposed Department of Children, Youth, and Families

Sent at the request of Adosh Unni, Director of Government Relations, MDE:

“I know there has been a lot of chatter in the Part C world around the potential impact of the proposed Department of Children, Youth, and Families. In short, nothing will change on the district and charter side. Part C services will still be provided by the LEA and there is no proposal to change the way employees are currently delivering these services. The big change is just to move the state team over to the new agency. Please see the FAQ that provides more detail.”
