Here’s the scoop for the week
Save the date: MN School Violence Prevention Symposium, Dec. 5, 2022
MASA, MASSP, MESPA, and MSBA will be hosting this symposium at the Park Event Center in Waite Park, MN on December 5. Look for registration information soon. If you are not able to attend, please send members of your team and school board. We have outstanding speakers secured for the event!
Have you had a chance to take the Professional Dialogue Survey:
In partnership with former St. Cloud Superintendent and now U of M Professor, Willie Jett, we are offering a 9-month professional dialogue series exploring topics of interest to currently practicing school administrators. While the topics may be general in nature, the group will specifically address issues of race and culture pertinent to the conversation.
The topics will be identified via a short survey and planned to meet the needs of those participating in the conversation. Sessions will be offered at no cost monthly, twice per day, and via a virtual format. Depending upon the topic and the survey responses, sessions may be differentiated by audience.
The first session will be held on November 22nd from 9-10 am. You can register for the virtual meeting here. We look forward to a rich and purposeful dialogue!

Update on “Together We Make a Difference” Initiative:
A meeting was held on October 26 to synthesize the information gathered at the seven regional meetings held with 1200-1500 participants. Themes were identified and will be used at the upcoming conference with students, activities directors and others.
